The 2023 US Open will offer a record-breaking $65 million in overall player compensation, setting a new all-time high for the tournament. This represents a significant increase from the previous record of $60 million set in 2022.
Increased Prize Money for All Players
The increased prize money will benefit players at all levels of the tournament, from the top seeds to the qualifiers. The winner of the men's and women's singles titles will each receive $2.6 million, while the runners-up will take home $1.3 million. Even players who lose in the first round will receive a minimum of $80,000.
The 2023 US Open is scheduled to take place from August 22nd to September 10th at Flushing Meadows in New York City. It is the fourth and final Grand Slam tournament of the 2023 season.
